My work is an exploration of life. I prefer expressions of light, color, and immediacy – but also timelessness. My painting process is a nature-inspired investigation of time and place. My paintings, based on this direct observation and experience, are done entirely in the studio. I paint primarily in oils and work in a style that distills the image to the elements of geometry and textures. I occasionally dabble with other medias such as acrylic and pastel in order to express a particular idea artistically.
